Privacy Policy

Who we are
mee.contact is operated by Sustainable Digital Impact Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”), an Arizona limited liability company. Privacy questions: admin@sdiventures.com. These Terms of Use also apply: Terms of Use.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use the public website, hosted cards at /p, the signed-in owner app at /app, the Expo iOS and Android apps, recipient share-back, and the beta waitlist.
Owners and recipients
An owner is someone with a mee.contact account who publishes a card. A recipient is someone who opens that public card. If a recipient chooses to share their contact, we deliver that share to the card owner as a Connection. We store it for the owner; the owner controls that data and is responsible for how they use it. Recipients should only submit information they are comfortable sharing with that owner.
Information we collect
We collect what you give us and what we need to run the Service. We do not collect more than the product uses today.
Account
Owners sign in with Google and/or Apple through Firebase Authentication. We receive your Firebase user ID and, when the provider sends them, your email and display name. We do not store your Google or Apple passwords. During beta we may also store an allowlist flag for your user ID.
Owner cards
When you create a contact card, we store the fields you enter (for example name, phone, email, company, URLs, social links) in Cloud Firestore. Photos may be stored in Firebase Storage. Publishing creates a public ID and, if you set one, an optional custom slug so recipients can open your card at a mee.contact /p URL. Card style choices (colors and theme) are stored with the card.
Connections and Events
Contact details you save as Connections, and optional Event records you create, live in your owner account in Firestore so you can manage them in the app. Event-tagged share links can attach an Event to a recipient share.
Recipient share
If someone opens a public card and shares their contact, we process the name, email, and/or phone they submit (or the persona they choose, if they are signed in) via Cloud Functions and store it as a Connection for the card owner. Share endpoints may apply rate limits and, when enabled, Firebase App Check.
Beta waitlist
If you join the beta interest list, we store the name, email, and short note you provide so we can contact you about access.
Payments
Premium checkout is handled by Apple (iOS) or RevenueCat Web Billing and its payment processors (web). We receive entitlement and subscription status (for example whether Premium is active, a renewal date, and a manage-subscription URL). We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Analytics (opt-in)
On the website, Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) loads only after you Accept on the cookie banner. If you Decline, or later use Manage cookies in the footer and decline again, we do not initialize Analytics for that browser. The Expo app stores the same preference in Settings and applies it to in-app analytics when that collection is enabled.
Essential / service data
We use session data for sign-in. Firebase Auth, Hosting, Functions, and related Google Cloud services process IP addresses and request metadata for security, reliability, and rate limits. App Check tokens may be collected when that control is on. These are needed to operate the Service and are not used as a substitute for marketing analytics.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and authenticate accounts and keep them secure.
- Host, publish, and display your cards, and deliver recipient shares to the card owner.
- Let you manage Connections, Events, and account settings, including Premium entitlements.
- Operate the waitlist and respond to access or support mail.
- Measure aggregate usage when you have accepted analytics.
- Enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
We do not use your Connections list to market our product to those people, and we do not sell personal information.
Processors and third parties
We use service providers who process data on our behalf to run the product:
- Google / Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Hosting, Functions, Analytics (if you accept), and App Check.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and, for iOS purchases, App Store billing.
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlements and web billing.
Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their infrastructure. We do not sell personal information to them or to anyone else.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If a law that uses those terms applies to you, you may have the right to opt out of sale or sharing — you can exercise that by emailing admin@sdiventures.com. We do not claim to be “CCPA certified” or “GDPR certified.”
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies or local storage keep you signed in and remember your analytics preference. Non-essential Analytics measurement is opt-in: Accept on the banner to enable it; Decline or Manage cookies to keep it off or turn it off later. The Expo app uses an in-app Settings toggle for the same preference. We do not use non-essential advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, card, Connection, Event, and waitlist data while your account or submission is active and as needed to operate the Service. You can edit or delete cards, Connections, and Events in the owner app where the product allows. You can sign out at any time. To request deletion of an account or other data we hold, email admin@sdiventures.com. We may retain limited records as required for security, billing disputes, or law (for example Functions logs or a record that a waitlist email was used).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. If GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or a similar law applies to you, you may have those rights. We do not claim those frameworks are complete for every user. To make a request, email admin@sdiventures.com. We may need to verify the request. You may also decline analytics and use Manage cookies as described above.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided information, contact admin@sdiventures.com and we will delete it.
International transfers
We use cloud providers that process data in the United States (including Google Firebase). If you use the Service from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States and any other regions those providers use. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your own.
Security
We use industry-standard controls provided by our processors (authentication, access rules, HTTPS, rate limits). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we post a revision. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
